Teaching, Learning & Assessments
Technology Coaches assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiatiating instruction and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learningexperiences for all students.

Providing opportunities for teachers at my school to delve deeper into more efficient ways to assess learning and differentiating instruction in order to deliver the most effective instruction and curriculum is one of the most rewarding parts of my position.
There are many supportive lessons I either demonstrate or co-teach with my teachers. I produce presentations or guides as a way of sharing the info and increase the chance of success in the classroom. These are not stand alone support guides, I also support in class and meet with the teacher before and after the lesson. Plans are made based on the results of the lesson.

Adding Comments to a Google Document - This is one of the presentations I use in classrooms and with teachers in trainings to help model how teachers can use tech to build students skills in every subject they use Google Docs. This is done as part of a coaching cycle with the teacher (Sub standards a, b, e & f).

Impact: This particular lesson support is now used by several other schools in my district. It has come at a time in our district's tech integration development when we need direct instruction about what student collaboration looks like. I have evolved the presentation based on feedback from both teachers and students to reflect both engagement and academic needs.

Reflection: This presentation is a strong example of encouraging appropriate online teacher and student collaboration and communication. As I worked with classrooms on this topic the reception was welcoming and from the teachers, they expressed relief at having a guide to help them make student collaboration online become an effective way to assess writing and reasoning.
